VisualMETAR is a simple, user-friendly application designed to provide real-time METAR data for Flightsimmers. This tool fetches and decodes METAR data, delivering essential weather information such as temperature, visibility, wind conditions, and more, directly from your desktop.

Features:

  • Real-Time METAR Data: Get up-to-date METAR information by simply entering the ICAO code of the desired airport.
  • Copy to Clipboard: Easily copy METAR data to your clipboard for quick sharing or logging.

Installation Instructions:

1. Download and Extract:

  • Download the VisualMETAR package.
  • Extract the contents of the zip file to a location of your choice.

2. Running the Application:

  • Navigate to the extracted folder named "VisualMETAR".
  • Double-click on the "VisualMETAR.exe" to launch the application.

Important:

Do Not Move "VisualMETAR.exe": Please ensure that you do not move VisualMETAR.exe out of the VisualMETAR folder. The application relies on several files within this folder to function correctly. Removing the .exe from the folder will result in the application failing to run.


Usage:

1. Launch VisualMETAR:

  • After double-clicking VisualMETAR.exe, the application window will open.

2. Enter ICAO Code:

  • In the input field, enter the 4-letter ICAO code of the airport you wish to retrieve METAR data for, and press the "Get METAR" button.

3. View METAR Data:

  • The METAR data will be displayed on the screen, showing detailed weather information for the specified airport.

4. Copy METAR Data:

  • Use the "Copy" button to copy the METAR information to your clipboard for easy sharing.
